SURFACE PATTERNS

SOME YEARS AGO I BEGAN making small designs that repeated. I had no thought of where they might fit in the market. I didn’t even know whether I’d be making them in a month. But they stuck to me like a habit. I couldn’t wait to get up and make more of them each day. They grew not only in number but in size, coming to rest at 54 X 54 inches mostly, as vectors. As I investigated possible outcomes for them in the marketplace,  the use as large-scale architectural patterns were where they wanted to be. These are meant to really large. This is a long-term endeavor, interrupted by my involvement in other projects. I am interested in seeing these used with new or unlikely materials.  I want to see them animated, moving in light, across surfaces.
